London: Too many sights to mention!

Look who we stumbled across walking to the London Eye! Look how happy I am haha

Today was our first day of full on sightseeing, and it was another wonderful day!

Before we headed out, we decided to have brunch, and of course, I had to have an English big breakfast (vegetarian style) of course!

Me and my big breakfast at a English pub!

We started off at the London Eye, only realising that the line was mega long, so we decided to skip it for the morning!

Me and the London eye

Big Ben & Houses of Parliament: Was amazing! Felt amazing to see it in the flesh. And around these areas, there were hundreds of people! Well, it felt like it anyway haha. The architecture of the big ben was amazing. We were lucky enough to be there at midday so the bells were ringing and we were singing!

Beautiful day to see Big Ben!
Me and Big Ben. How wonderful!

Westminster Abbey: Next stop was here! I wanted to see where Prince William and Princess Kate got married! Unfortunately we weren't able to take any photos in the church, and there was a service going on while we were in there. The church was huuuge! And I didn't even know that famous kings and queens were buried in the church (freaky!) Definitely worth a visit. They gave you free audio guides which were very helpful! Next stop...

Buckingham Palace: And let me tell you.. it was huugge too! I couldn't believe it! Nothing was really happening around here except for people taking photos. Unfortunately Buckingham Palace is only open to the public during summer but it would have been good if we were able to go in. Oh well.. maybe next time!

We wanted to take a photo of 10 Downing Street. When we were walking towards there, there was a crowd of people and cops everywhere, cops on horses, streets closed down etc. Lee spoke to one of the cops who said that there was a 'demonstration' going on. It was really scary cause we were right in the middle of it. Swear I thought I was going to die! We later found out that it was because of the soldier being killed last week. Well, we missed out taking a photo of 10 Downing Street!

A proper London demonstration in progress. It was freaking scary!

Later on in the day we met up with my friend as she was going on the London Eye with her family. We decided to hop on with them. We didn't realise that there was a fast track line where you pay the extra 10 pounds to get on straight away. It was well worth it as we would have been waiting about an hour plus for tickets. The view from above was amazing! Good to be on the eye when the sun was out. The view went for ages!

We parted our ways as me being a chicka, wanted to go to Harrods. Haha. I don't know why so many people love this place! But, it was a lovely, upscale complex where people spent their money. Well, I didn't! Haha I just went in, took some photos and used the bathroom. If I was in the money I would definitely spend it here!

The world famous Harrods. Nope I bought nothing!

Next stop, Piccadilly Circus. A kinda smaller scale of Times Square & Broadway. So many people were just hanging around. Maybe because there were heaps of buskers too! The area totally reminded me of NYC. We walked to Leicester Square where we had dinner in London for the first time. The other days we didn't eat out as we were still jetlagged!

It was another wonderful day. The weather was kind to us. Thanks London!

Until then,
