We'll miss you HCMC! Next stop, Hoi An!

It was time to continue on with our travels and head north to Hoi An.

I decided to see this place because it was UNESCO heritage listed and it looked like a nice town to see that was different from the hustle and bustle of HCMC.

We flew with Vietnam Airlines. The price was reasonable (about $70AU each/one way,) and you were given a bottle of water and a moist towellete. Better than nothing as the flight was only about 1 hour.

Hoi An does not have an airport. The closest airport is Da Nang which is about a half hour drive to Hoi An. We chose to get airport transfers that were available through our hotel. It was a smooth flight, and we were greeted with our driver to take us to our hotel.

HCMC's domestic airport is quite.. old and old fashioned. Very different to their international airport!

On the way to Hoi An, are the Marble Mountains, which is located in Da Nang. Our driver let us stop for about 15 minutes to take some photos in front of the mountains. It kind of reminded me of the mountain scenery in Guilin, China.

We finally arrived in Hoi An and it was H-O-T. There's no buildings to hide the shade so it was open sun everywhere! We checked in, rested up and decided to head to Ancient town in the afternoon.

Vinh Hung Emerald Resort | Address: An Hoi Islet, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, Viet Nam | We stayed in the Emerald Suite. Definitely recommend it! | To check out my Tripadvisor review, click here.

Can't wait to see what Hoi An has to offer!

Until then,
-V
