Procession of Princes Mural
|
The weather was really bad today, and you really noticed it near the river.
|
Elbe River... so sad! |

Me next to the unfortunate flooded Elbe Riverside |
Dresden is a walkable city, so that's what we did. Walked! We ended up at the Procession of Princes, a mural about 100 metres long made out of porcelain tiles depicting the lineage of Saxony princesses. We then ended up at the Elbe Riverside, which was meant to be a beautiful river which was unfortunately flooded. It would have been beautiful to see!

Full from eating all that gelato! |

Even though the weather wasn't that great, it was still beautiful. Love the architecture! |
We carried on and found Semper Opera house, but as we were pressed for time (again!) we didn't go in. Right next to the Opera house was Zwinger, which was a baroque palace. It was beautiful!

Part of Zwinger |
Last but not the least, we went to Dresden Frauenkirche. A church that was destroyed during World War II by a firebomb but was completely restored a couple of years ago. It was amazing!
|
Looks beautiful in real life! |

The mural up close |
Even though we had a short time in Dresden, it was still beautiful. I can imagine how beautiful it would be if it wasn't raining!
Next stop, Prague!
Until then,
