Puerto Rico: Bacardi Tour - Yayer!

Me and my drinks - say what!?

Ok, so bacardi tour it was! Woot! What was so good about the tour was that it was free, and that you get to free drinks per person! Soooo good!

It was a real interesting tour. Besides the alcohol haha, did you know that Bacardi is still 100% privately & family owned? I think it is 6th generation Bacardi people! Amazing!
Some other fast facts are:
  • That the mojito originated in Cuba using Bacardi? Unbelievable!
  • And that the Daiquiri was also made using Bacardi?
  • The logo of the bat was used because back in the day they noticed bats hanging around their sugar canes! And plus that fact that it means good fortune, good health and family orientation.
So interesting right! Anyway, so with our free drinks, I decided to try the bacardi that we don't get back home, so that was grape and apple! Trust me, that's not it, they had HEAPS!! It was amazing like you wouldn't believe. And they're not tight with their shots (pretty much half the glass was alcohol) so I was tipsy pretty quickly! And yes, I bought some grape flavoured bacardi!!!!

So yeah, it was a great day even though it was pissing down rain in the morning, the sun was out to greet us at around lunch!

Will have more to update soon.

Until then,
