Paris: Sacre Coeur & Moulin Rouge

It was our last day in Paris, and because we had a night flight back home, we decided to fit some last minute sightseeing!

We caught the subway to go to Sacre Coeur. They have a small tram that you can take to get up there, but seriously, the walk up including the stairs was not that far. So I recommend walking up instead of taking the tram as it's one train ticket cost to get up and, the same go get back down again. I was a but skeptical about going to Sacre Coeur as I read that there were so many people trying to sell you things on the street, but to be honest, I didn't really notice it. I would say there were the same amount of street vendors as there would be at any other tourist site.

The view from the top was beautiful, both facing the city and facing the church. You can see the Sacre Coeur from miles away, just like the Eiffel Tower. Inside, is just as amazing. Unfortunately there's no photos allowed and if you get caught, the ushers force you to show them the photo then you have to delete it infront of them (I saw it with my own eyes happen to a man in there!) There are still services that happen in there too which is awesome!

Picture perfect!

The view towards the city

The exciting walk back down!

We walked back down and towards Moulin Rouge, walking through the red light district. Since we were walking there during the day, it didn't seem as seedy and quite safe as there were was a school excursion going on with some young children! I'm sure the area would be bright and hip and happening of a night! We decided not to go, based on reviews on Tripadvisor.

Moulin Rouge. Haha so rude!

Our time had to end for both in Paris and our Eurotrip. We had an amazing time and had amazing experiences wherever we went. But all things have to come to an end. We just have to start organising our next trip!

Until then,
