Puerto Rico: Roaming the streets of San Juan

Ok, so I was hungry, and decided to go to a place where a local recommended which is right next to where we are staying. The place is called El Hamburger, a local spot that sells like 5 types of tiny burgers. It's kind of hard cause the locals here don't speak a lot of English, depending on where you are. But we finally understood the lady and we made our order. Let me tell you that I loved it! Looked so simple but tasted amazing (yes more burgers for the fatties over here!! haha)

After having lunch, we decided to head the other way to see what we could find. We are pretty close to a beach called Escambron, it's nice and cute. Their beaches aren't really packed over here, or maybe because it's a Monday? We ended up at the end of the line with nothing else around. Mind you, Puerto Rico is a huge place and compared to Hawaii, you can't just walk anywhere, you pretty much need a car. It's kind like Phils here, car horns honking constantly and traffic jams no matter what time of the day! We wanted to keep exploring, but our feet were killing and decided to go back home.

After researching what to do later on this afternoon, I realised that we are kind of near a dangerous spot called La Perla, where the drug trafficking is well known as well as the fact that the area is run by a druglord! So interesting though I won't ever go near that place! This was an interesting read! http://solofriendly.com/snapshots-of-san-juan-la-perla/

So we decided to go back home tonight and drink, seeing as though it's not that safe once the sun goes down. So I'm drinking my bottle of Pink Lemonade vodka that cost us 12 bucks, and Lee is drinking his bacardi which cost us 3 bucks! haha

Anyway, tomorrow will be another day of sightseeing, roaming the streets of Old San Juan again!

Will keep you updated.

Until then,
-V
