Paris: The Eiffel Tower!

Another fun-filled day in Paris! It came to a point where we were walking everywhere, where at the end of one day, we ended up walking 25000 steps (based on Lee's pedometre!) It was crazy but great incidental exercise!

We started off ending up at Victor Hugo Park. A small park dedicated to Victor Hugo (one of his famous writings of course was Les Mes!) It was a nice and quaint park. People hanging, reading books, bringing their kids, it was a nice park in between the hustle and bustle of the city.

Victor Hugo Park. Look at that backdrop!

Next stop on our way was Destruction des Animaux Nuisibles which of course was notably famous for being mentioned in Ratatoullie. Unfortunately when we got there, it was closed, but we managed to get some good pics of the place and visited the place another time while we were there. It was a very interesting and still up and running shop in between some stores and cafes!

People still buy stuff from here!

Thank goodness Ratatoullie wasn't hanging up here!

We walked towards Pont Alexandre Bridge III, a beautiful and ornate bridge in Paris. It also looks romantic in a way! This bridge has also been filmed in a couple of things, for example in Adele's film clip of 'Someone like you.' It is a beautiful bridge that crosses the river seine. You won't see anything like that in Sydney!

A beautiful bridge!

We crossed the bridge and walked towards Les Invalides. On the way, there some sort of Agricultural day going on which looked like a heap of fun. Tractors, cows and hay bales were scattered around. It was great and was another interesting thing that was happening right in the hustle and bustle of Paris!

Hehe a cute cow!

Les Invalides

In Les Invalides, we were looking at going into Musée de l'Armée, but looking at the time we didn't think we had enough time to look through the whole museum. It would have been good though, as that was where Napoleon Bonaparte was buried! Next time I guess.. =(

Last but not the least, the most iconic of all, the Eiffel Tower. Amazing wherever you see it, any time you see it. The day we went, the weather was very temperamental. Needless to say, it was still a great experience. And because the weather was a raining and a windy, the lines to get into the tower were not as bad or packed. Pickpocketing signs and announcements are everywhere, so take normal precaution with your belongings. View from the top, amazing, though the top top tier was out of bounds when we got there, though we saw a line up of people waiting to go up which didn't make sense! It was freezing and windy and couldn't stay out there for too long, and a lot of people were feeling the freeze as well! It was still a beautiful sight to see. We would have loved to stay until the sun when down and the lights brightened the tower, but we would have had to wait a couple more hours.

It was still another beautiful day in Paris even though the weather wasn't on our side.

Until then,
-V

The storm is coming! We managed to get some pics in!

In between the buildings it still looks beautiful!

We found a mini Statue of Liberty!

Look familiar? It's a scene from Inception. We stumbled across this place!
