HCMC: Yum! Our first tasty Vietnamese dinner at Hoa Tuc

Well of course we had to experience Vietnamese cuisine at it's best! I found this place on TripAdvisor and on Foursquare and decided to give it a go.

The restaurant is located in an alleyway with a few other restaurants. It's a bit hard to find, but if you look at the photos on TripAdvisor you will see what the entry way looks like!

I was worried that we didn't make a reservation but we were greeted and seated straight away. We chose to sit outside which was ok as they had fans everywhere!

The service was good, nothing to complain about here. The food was amazing! We ordered an appetiser, salad and 2 mains and were stuffed! We couldn't fit dessert in!

The restaurant was mainly occupied by tourists, so in saying that, it was a bit pricey for a Vietnamese meal (though we would have paid a lot more if we had the same thing in Sydney)!

Overall I would say to give this place a go. The food was good, the seafood was fresh and I loved it all!

Hoa Tuc | Address: 74/7 Hai Ba Trung, Dist. 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
What we ordered: Top: Soft shell crabs in green rice batter w/ passion fruit sauce & Coconut prawns fritters w/mango, mint & spring onions sauce | Bottom: Baby squid & green papaya, salad w/ crispy fried garlic & peanuts & Fishcake wraps w/ spicy cucumber fish sauce

Until then,
-V
